OUR HISTORY
1981: Nupo was established in Denmark by Flemming Quaade, a doctor with a strong background in medical research, particularly in the field of nutrition and weight management. His knowledge and experience in these areas laid the foundation for his development of Nupo’s meal replacement products.
With the introduction of its first product, a powder-based VLCD (Very Low Calorie Diet) also known as a TDR (Total Diet Replacement) designed to support weight loss and nutrition. The formulation was created based on clinical studies to ensure that it met the dietary needs of those looking to lose weight safely.
1980s-1990s: Expansion and Market Growth
Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Nupo expanded its product line and began gaining popularity across Denmark and other parts of Scandinavia. The brand’s emphasis on clinical validation and effective weight management solutions helped it build a strong reputation in the health and wellness industry.
